Shiny wheels

Hi when I bought the TVR the wheels were in a bit of a mess the lacquer had lifted and there was corrosion underneath.I found the best way to tackle this was to put on the paint stripper and cover for 24 hours with cling film.

Then for the hard work using wet and dry starting with 200 grade then finishing with 1200 grade I have done 2 wheels as you can see looks OK ( at 10 foot anyway). But my fingers are killing me but it keeps the nails nice and short.

New car in my "garage"

The car isone of the earliest 7based kit  cars from Robin Hooh Engineering. They were built as abox frame  chassis and stainless panels fitted at the factory. My car is a bit of a hybrid as it has the Dolomite front suspension (wishbones and Coil spring dampers) and the Dolomite rear axle (5linked live axle and coil spring dampers)  but has the TR7 5 speed gearbox and a  Dolomite Sprint engine with twin 40 DHLA Dellorto's.

Bought a new engine

having boiled the original i have bought a replacement from ebay - which might be no better than the one i've got

Hello my name is Janice

Hi we have a new car called Janice the name comes with the car which is a TVR 2.9S. It comes with a lot of history including every MOT the name came from the J reg.The outriggers were done at 63000 miles (it's a TVR thing). It's a great car but I need to do some arm strengthening exercises as the steering is heavy.  Art and Liz

Hi, I am Hatty

I am called "Hatty" this is because my origional number plate had the letters HAT on it.

I am a 1988 S3 2000cc Alfa Spider, I was bought as a present for Sharron who loves Alfas.

I  had only one previous owner who had purchased the car new as an import from Lyles of Newcastle. The car was converted to right hand drive prior to being sold by Lyles. The origional owner had taken the car on overseas trips in Europe, proven by the foreign motorway toll stickers on the windscreen.

Hello my name is Becky

I bought our Lotus Élan +2S 130/5 in Sept 2013another E Bay bargain, previously Robin Hood (RIP) and our motor home. It had notran for 16 years but I had it running in 3 days, just not very well! The last 2 years have been very busy.

BRAKES servo, master cylinder seals, rear calliper seals and pistons, front and rear brake pads.

CLUTCH master cylinder seals, new slave cylinder, flexible pipe, clutch plate, pressure plate, and bearing.

INTERIOR new carpets (almost white) a moment of madness! Seat frame repaired, tacho repaired.

Robin Hood ExMo (Export Model)

I have owned the ExMo for almost four years now and in  that time it has been nearly totally reliable the one time I broke down due to a blocked fuel pipe I had it repaired before the RAC came to rescue me. I have done nearly 16000 miles in my time with the car and loved every minute, It has been out in all weathers except snow.

Hello, I am Ellie

My name is Ellie and I’m thirty seven years old.

I owe my sporty good looks to a Davrian Mark 6a body shell and my racy personality to a 1500cc Alfasud engine and gearbox.  After a happy childhood I spent a miserable decade with owners who left me languishing in their gardens or leaky garages. My present keepers rescued me six years ago and I have restored my ‘get-up-and-go’.  They’re even promising me a facelift sometime soon. 

I hope to see you at car shows around the region.
