Robin Hood Series 3 week 3

Not as much progress as I would have liked this week due to getting the Exmo ready for the run to Duns, new  valve oil seals and re-setting the timing and mixture, and i lost a day on the run-our What I did manage was to have a trial fit of the nose-cne and bonnet to see how they were going to fit and found that I am going to have to put some hoops inside the bonnet as it sags in the middle. I also got one of the rear wings trimmed up to try the fit it is pretty close except where it joins the back panel and is going to need more surgery  I also discovered that the top of the wing infill panels should have been fitted before I welded the roll cage in, so some modification are required.

I moved on to the pedal box, working on the theory that if you are getting worked up doing an awkward job--move on and come back to it later   Mounting the box was fairly straight forward and I modified an alternator adjusting bracket to use as a brace back to the bulkhead to make the box a solid fit. I then positioned the throttle pedal and bolted it loosely in place as I need a length of bar to make a location bracket but I got the cable fitted and cut down to size. Hopefully next week will see more progress being made as I have only three weeks left before the Exmo is stripped to move the parts over.
