Pierre Gasly has conceded that incidents such as his first-lap clash with Yuki Tsunoda at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix “should not happen”.

Charles Leclerc admitted in Saudi Arabia that his third place in the Grand Prix was a “dream result” given the current state of competitiveness of his Ferrari. But how did Leclerc manage to seal a first podium of the season, and why is his car not behaving as he would like?

Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon both scored for Williams in Saudi Arabia to lift their team back above Haas into fifth in the standings. Sainz recorded his strongest finish of the season with eighth as he came home ‘best of the rest’ while Albon was hot on his heels in ninth.

Isack Hadjar says his Racing Bulls Formula 1 team-mate Liam Lawson has had a smooth adaptation back to the Faenza-based squad following his Red Bull demotion - which the New Zealander agrees on.
Lawson outqualified Hadjar for the first time at last weekend’s Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, outpacing the rookie by 0.010s in Q1 and 0.227s in Q2.
