Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton were once again knocked back by their performances in Qualifying for the Qatar Grand Prix, with neither driver able to keep up with their frontrunning rivals in the highly competitive session.

Richard Verschoor earned his eighth victory in FIA Formula 2, equalling the all-time win record after his Lusail Sprint Race success.

Oscar Piastri denied Standings leader Lando Norris a chance to start the Qatar Grand Prix from pole position as he drove a spectacular lap on his final attempt, beating both his McLaren team mate and Max Verstappen.
