Winners and losers from an eventful NASCAR Cup race at Gateway
Race #2 of the 2025 NASCAR Cup playoffs is now behind us, and WWT Raceway (Gateway) featured far more action than most expected. Varying strategies, some tire falloff and a flurry of yellows kept the race somewhat interesting.
However, there was no stopping Joe Gibbs Racing as Denny Hamlin led Chase Briscoe to a 1-2 finish for the team, collecting Toyota its 200th win in the Cup Series. There ...Keep reading

Max Verstappen's Nordschleife race debut set for weekend
Just a week after his victory at the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, Max Verstappen will be back behind the wheel – even though there's no Formula 1 race. Instead, the Red Bull star will fulfil a long-held dream in the Eifel Mountains: competing in an official round of the Nurburgring Endurance Series (NLS).

For the past few months the rumour mill has been industriously grinding out stories signalling a variety of ‘next moves’ for Max Verstappen, ranging from leaving Red Bull for Mercedes to quitting Formula 1 entirely. Some were more far-fetched than others but Verstappen was palpably disengaged and disgruntled at grand prix weekends. Arguably the process began last year, when the RB20 slid from ...Keep reading

Lance Stroll stayed silent in the Italian GP’s most bizarre interview
Lance Stroll is not a man of many words, that much is known. But his appearance in the media pen after Formula 1’s Italian Grand Prix on Sunday evening was strikingly uninteresting, even by his standards.
Having just crossed the finish line 18th and last, one lap down on race winner Max Verstappen, Stroll faced a first question suggesting his strategy of running nearly 50 laps on a single set ...Keep reading

Winners and losers from MotoGP’s Catalan Grand Prix
The Catalan Grand Prix differed significantly from MotoGP’s form book, as it was the first time since Silverstone that championship leader Marc Marquez didn’t have a clear advantage over the rest of the pack.
This paved the way for his younger brother Alex Marquez to end the weekend on top, but only after giving away what seemed like a sure-shot win in the sprint.

Red Bull's new philosophy behind Max Verstappen's surprise F1 Italian GP win
The Italian Grand Prix resulted in a dominant victory for Max Verstappen, at the track where Red Bull struggled massively last year and where Verstappen described the car as “a monster”. Twelve months on reality looked very different, helped by a specific low-downforce rear wing, a fresh Honda power unit and above all a slightly different approach to the race weekend.

Who slept worst last night: Yuki Tsunoda
Things are starting to look tight for Yuki Tsunoda. Much as we all like the affable Japanese Formula 1 driver, the numbers don’t lie: since stepping up from Red Bull’s B team to the main one, he has managed just nine points, while Max Verstappen has collected 194 in the same period, including three Grand Prix victories. Not even all the Campari in Milan can wash that down.

Christopher Bell frustrated with "under-performing" as teammates finish 1-2
It's been an unusual year for Christopher Bell, who won three of the first four races this season. However, the driver of the No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota hasn't been to Victory Lane in months — since March, to be exact.
What makes that fact more unusual is his team, JGR, has gone on to win five races with Denny Hamlin and two with Chase Briscoe, including the first two races of the 2025 ...Keep reading
