Sunday Lunch At Clennell Hall Sunday 16th July

Meeting at Heighley Gate garden centre a planned 12 people when Bryan and Sharron who were stating overnight at the Clennell Hall Hotel arrived at the hotel to find that the room booking had been entered for the wrong night and the hotel was full.Understandably they didn't feel they wanted to go for the meal, but they were a big miss for all that did go. Keith led the convoy up through Rothbury and on to Alwinton and Clennl Clennell, he is now a member of the under 50 club after his steady run up.We had coffee/tea outside in the gardens until  we were called in to eat. Home made soup was followed by a GIGANTIC plate of food for our main course and Ice-cream or coffee to follow. A good time was had by all, and the owner and staff were really very nice and helpful.
